About Us

Beverley Medical Practice is a well-established, family and community focused Medical Centre in the wheatbelt town of Beverley. Our practice embraces family values and we aim to provide the community with the best healthcare. Our Philosophy is to provide comprehensive and thoughtful medical care to all our patients. We work hard to keep up to date with the latest medical innovations and bring you efficient personal service.

We provide our patients with a welcoming and comfortable environment during their visits. Our doctors, nurses and admin staff are committed to providing you and your family with the utmost compassion and care at every opportunity.

Our objective is to deliver the best possible service to our patients, so they remain happy and healthy. We are committed to keeping the patient informed and at the center of all their healthcare decisions.

It is the policy of this practice to maintain privacy and security of personal health information at all times. We will not disclose your personal health information to third parties unless we have your consent or you are at risk of harm without treatment and you are unable to provide consent.

As our practice is committed to preventative care your doctor will seek your permission to be included on our recall system offering you health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of
this system, please let your doctor or the receptionist know.

Fees and billing arrangements

The Beverley Medical Practice BULK BILLS patients that hold a current Medicare card.

Services not covered by Medicare will be Privately billed and therefore accounts are to be settled at the time of consultation by cash.

You must present your Medicare Card, Pension and other Concession Cards at every appointment.

All fees are charged at the Doctors discretion

(if you are experiencing difficulty paying your account, please call to discuss this with our Practice Manager).

Appointments

Consultation is by appointment only to arrange an appointment please phone 9646 1241.

Urgent cases and emergencies will be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there are any unforeseen delays.

Longer consultation times are available for insurance medicals, pap smears, counselling or the review of complex health issues, please advise the receptionist when making the appointment.

Need an interpreter? Please let our receptionist know so she may arrange one for you.

Our Practice Nurse is available by appointment Monday to Friday for BP reviews, Health Assessments, vaccinations and minor dressings.

If you need a referral letter, repeat prescriptions, PATS forms, unfit for work certificate or insurance claim forms you must book an appointment.

Telephone contact

You can contact the doctors by telephone during normal surgery hours. If the doctor is with a patient, a message will be taken and you will be advised as to when it is expected the Doctor will return your call, obviously urgent or emergency calls will be put through immediately.

Care outside normal opening hours

When the Beverley Medical Practice is closed you can always get medical attention by calling the afterhours GP on 1800 022 222 or by attending the Beverley District Hospital, located in Sewell Street Beverley where experienced staff will triage the patient and contact the on call Doctor.

For all emergencies call 000.

Home and other visits

Home visits are available, within a 15klm radius, for regular patients of this practice whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery.

Our GP’s also attend the Alex Miles Lodge nursing home and the Beverley Hospital.
